Mobile Job Searching is on the Rise – Are You Prepared?
It's no secret that mobile job searching is on the rise - in fact, over two thirds of all applications were submitted via a mobile device last year. So if your company hasn't optimized its career site or hiring process for mobile devices yet, you're missing out on a lot of potential candidates.
In fact, over 60% of companies haven't optimized their sites or processes for mobile!
I know what you're thinking - is my process mobile optimized? There's a simple way to find out. Take out your phone (If you're not already reading this on a phone), and open up your current job opening. How does it look?
I'm guessing a lot of text, right? Not great - but not horrible. Next, click the apply button. Here's where most companies fail... my guess is you're asking for a resume. Unfortuantely, that's the one item that hasn't seemed to make it's way into our pockets.
I'm not saying collecting a resume is bad, (well actually I think it is - but you can read more about that here), just that it's not handy on your mobile.
What you've now witnessed is the first hiccup. A drop off in your process. The candidate is unable to apply, and most likely will move onto the next job opening. There are plenty of them out there.
The good news is we can show you a step-by-step guide on how to fix each of these issues. It's in our definitive guide for setting up your hiring process up for mobile. Click here for the free download.
Good luck!
